Do you ever...

Have envy?

I sure do. Sometimes it crops up more than others.

I envy those local families who have family nearby so their kids can easily stay with grandparents for a night out. I envy being able to just drop in at "mom's" house for dinner or family get-togethers without having to drive 2 1/2 hours.

I envy just having a normal family. Bryan's side of the family is more like the Cleavers (well, some of you are kinda crazy ;) ) but mine...more like the Addams family. I see blog posts or hear about great family get-togethers, with all the siblings being so close, parents and grandparents who've been married for a gazillion years and I can't help but give a little *sigh*.

I suppose envy hits us all at times, yet I think the Holy Spirit reminds me each time it starts that I'm so lucky and blessed to have this little family that I have. A family of 5 now. Sounds funny when we go to restaurants. I love them so much and I almost bet there might be someone who would envy what I have too. I really am a lucky girl.

Yeah, I wear a dress, high heels and pearls every time I clean house ;) When Bradley comes in I am waiting with supper and his paper while I clean the kitchen. LOL! You are too cute Misty! I love you! And you know what...I think that you have a wonderful life with all your babies and little family. You can make your own memories of long marriages and kids coming in for supper. Sometimes I wish i was already settled like you. But that is in God's time and hands when i start a family. Take Care. I do wish you lived closer :( We could have such good girl times.

Ugh--I hate heels! The last time I wore some was at Bryan's company Christmas party, when I was about 7months pregnant, so I ended up taking them off halfway through the night. So much for that!

I think we all, if we will admit it, have envy at one time or another. I often envy women like you, that can stay home with their kids and don't have to go to work every day! But God has chosen for me to be where I am for now because I have gone thru several unsettling times with the company over 20 years now and I'm still here.

If you need a babysitter just call...Emily will be home this summer from WKU!

I, like Susan, suffer from envy at times of the SAHMs. But, I love my career, too, and am not yet ready to give it up. It is nice to have my parents and extended family so close, and I know that no one can replace your family, but remember - you always have your friends and we're always here for you. You have so much to be proud of in your little family of 5 :-)

You have such a precious family and are such a good mama. God has you right where you are meant to be at this time of your life. Enjoy, these years will whiz by all too soon.
