Woohoo!

Time to celebrate--we're finally getting our driveway sealed after living here for almost 6 years. It's cracking up badly...not as in laughing, but as in breaking. Each winter has made it a bit worse.

The sealing guys are here now. I'm happily listening to the sealing pumping motors as I go about my day. We'll have to stay off the driveway for a couple days, so we're borrowing our neighbor's drive for now.

How many of you are behind on home improvement projects? I can see a sea of hands rising now! :) I'm thinking about making a list (it will be a long one) of things we need to do around here and start doing them one at a time...as time and money allows.

We hated living in apartments for the first few years of our marriage, but there was the definite advantage of not having to worry about maintaining things. I wouldn't trade our house, mind you, but it's a lot of work to maintain one of any size.

What are some projects you're working on right now? And please send me any tips for em too--where to start, where to buy, etc.

Home improvement. Hmmm.

Hmmm.

Hmmm.

OH, I know! I bought some Mr. Clean cleaning pads last week and have wiped down stuff. It's GREAT on light colored doors. I don't know how they would do on dark paint.

Love the new header!
I was awakened this morning to the sound of rain, which means the hill behind my backyard is beginning it's autumn "slide" onto my grass. Building a retaining wall has been pushed off. I guess it's time to get it done.

We are in DESPARATE need of new landscaping. This past spring, hubby pulled up all the shrubs in front of our house to help battle the ant problem...and it helped...but now our house looks sad. And the facelift keeps getting put on the back burner. Right now, I am just trying to get things in order before next week...forget home improvement projects!!!

Love ya and love the new design...maybe I will get a new design while I am down and out...hint, hint (Maggie)...I'm all about butterflies right now...hint, hint.

New header looks awesome Misty, great job. As for what home improvements do I need to do, might be a shorter list for what doesn't need repairing!
